    Buttons in HS Touch to play BBC Radio on Squeezebox

    I'm not sure if this is possible within the current boundaries of the plugin, but I am envisioning a set of buttons on HS Touch that say 'BBC Radio 1' 'BBC Radio 2' etc, upon pressing, HS activates a particular squeezebox, and starts streaming the relevant BBC radio stream using the AlienBBC plugin.

    Is this a bit too ambitious, or possible within the current feature set?

    Wouldn't you be able to setup an event to do what you want, (if that's possible with the Squeezebox Plug-in) and then call that event from HSTouch?

      That's what I am hoping, although I'm not sure if I can be that selective with what I can pass from HS to the Squeezecenter. I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction - I guess i just want to know its possible...

        I just posted a beta version for testing and feedback that supports interacting with the player's playlist (add, insert, etc). See http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=133690

        I have not tried (yet) the actions and apis with specific radios but don't see a reason why it would not work. Otherwise you can create playlists for the radios and specify those as the item to play (see my screenshot in http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=133690).

        In the mid to longer term I hope to support the HS2 multizone and media APIs which would make it easier to integrate with HS Touch (per discussions with Rick).

          Excellent - thank you - will try it out now.

          I don't have a squeezebox (I use squeezeslave) but already your plugin seems to be a more versatile solution for audio in HS than the iTunes and Media Player plugs. I think I could do all my audio via squeezeslave - will try to see if i can run more than one instance on the same box
