There's a lot of options available now. I have 2 Harmony Hubs and Rien's plugin. This works well for switching activities off when going out etc or for switching activities on, but the integration is limited, as it has to rely on polling the hubs for their status, which I found was best not to do more than about once a minute as it is pretty slow. The plugin is also dependent on an API which Harmony will not make fully available, so could break at any time. Rien's support is brilliant, but this is out of his control.
I've seen the Harmony hub Extender devices which I guess let you have more integration with HS3, including instant applying of events, by sending commands to a physical zwave device with instant status reporting, but this is introducing another physical device into the chain, which can also introduce delays and risk of failure.
Just wondering if anyone can summarise pros and cons of different options?
