that's is great news.

So if you end up automating your vista alarm (which i highly recommend), i would suggest the serial version of the ad2usb. The ad2usb is avail with a usb connection but uses the same ftdi chipset drivers and can suffer from the same "usb disconnect" problem you experienced with the usb PLM.

The current released FTDI drivers seem a lot better for the USB disconnect, I've loaded the serial heavily and no disconnect issues at all. Much better than a PL2303
