What is the correct way to install the latest zip file?

I copied all the files from the zip file, and placed them in the proper directories, replaced the files located in the Homeseer root directory and managed to break it.

The IM device says connecting, the homeseer log files says it is connected, but there is an error in the homeseer log file when I hit the apply MSN parameters.

It sounds like there is a previous instance still alive, is that possible? Any suggestions?

Did you shutdown HomeSeer before copying files ?

Just copy all the files and subdirectories to the HomeSeer 2 directory while HomeSeer is shut down.

I must have missed something. I deleted old files, replaced with new and all is well.
