Tested servo by adding 2 x 2.2K resistor.
Angle was more then 180. Probably around 220. But going from 0 to 90 was around 80 degrees and going from 180 to 90 was around 100 degrees.
Tried 1K and difference around 90 degrees was lees, but also max angle was around 200 degrees. Searched internet and found a servo that can do 270 degrees. Ordered 2 of them to see if that will work better.

I received my servo's this week.
      They do turn 270 degrees!
Tested one of them with my blinds in the kitchen and it works like expected.
I can turn the blind completely open and close:

Peter, I am very impressed. It is a bit hard to tell with all the background noise but I could not distinguish any motor noise at all. Looks pretty smooth. You may have struck a good balance between speed and noise.

Would love to see more details on your project like the motor mount and connection to the tilt rod. Could you please post a link to the servos that you used?

Damn, there's got to be a way to do that on battery power. The hardwire to each window is the only thing preventing me from doing this. I seem to recall seeing tape that had embedded 2 conductor flat copper wire which would be perfect for a low current application like this. That would get the wire up to the head rail but still need a connection to a plug-pak at some point around the bottom of the casement.

Yes exactly. 16 gauge is overkill for the application so if available 18 or 20 gauge should be less expensive.

Edit: There also was a 4 wire option that looks interesting. Might allow one ESP to control more than one servo at a time.

This is the sound of the servo:
              https://youtu.be/MyGcaHzhDao
Only thing you can hear is the moving of the blind.
The servo I used is a DS3120MG, 270 degrees version.
              I ordered them on Aliexpress
This are photos of the servo in place:

                I just did my blinds

I just completed my blinds using a Nodemcu and Alexa one board controlling 4 mini blinds with hitec servos, i made the pcb to handle 6 just need to go to the parts store in basement and look for more servo's. wished homeseer could control wemos. I tried using the Arduino plug in but it will not control servos like it says it can...

Where did you get those coupler to attach the blind rods to the servo?

Have a look at Aliexpress and search for shaft coupler.
