    X10 Dimming

    I have the 467c x10 light switches.
In a HS3 event I dim the light to 40%. I then shut it off later with another event.
Now when I go to turn it on in the HS3 web GUI, it goes to the 40% and not full on even though it says "On" and "100%".
They are set up under device type as Standard. I also see PreSet and Extended as an option.
Which should I choose and do I need to delete and recreate the device?

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,

The WS467 dimmers have a feature called 'Resume Dim' where they will return to the previous dim level when turned ON instead of going to Full ON. From the WS467 User Guide: "Note: if you would like the Switch to always resume full intensity when turned on, then press and hold the key until the Switch attains full brightness before releasing."

To turn these switches fully on from the HS3 UI or from events, you might try setting the dim level to 99% (not 100%) instead of commanding them to go ON, which would result in BRT commands being sent to the switch until it is fully on.

Note that the WS467 switches are 'Standard' X10 dimmers and they do not support the X10 'Preset Dim' or 'Extended' commands. Therefore, setting the device type to anything but 'Standard' will have negative effects.
    Best regards,
