Triggered zone for e-mail alert ?

    Hi ALL

** I found the option I needed but cant delete the message here **

On an alarm event while the system is armed I want to send out an e-mail but would like to include the device that has been triggered.

Is there a variable I can put into the e-mail or does this need a script ?

    Thanks..Pete

P.S I see this option was available when the plugin was under HS2 under "More Alert Options" ?

I know you've figured this out, but I'll post this in case others are looking in the future. Took me a bit to get the hang of it.

BLSecurity > Go to Options. Under Options you'll see Alert Options.

Under Alert Options you'll see More Alert Options (click that).

Now put the emails you want to be notified when there is an alert.

    An Important Note:
When in arm mode(or any other) and devices are NOT part of a ZONE, then you will get emails for every devices that gets triggered.
The email Subject line will say( for armed mode): "Security Alert (Mode: Armed)"
The Body of the email will say "At 1/19/2016 8:06PM, an alert was triggered by Device: Motion Hallway Motion Sensor"

    Zones:
Now if the device is part of a ZONE, and if this device was triggered, then body of the email will say " At 1/19/2016 8:10 PM, an alert was triggered by Zone: Inside House". So if device is part of a Zone, the device that triggered the alert will not get listed, only the Zone info gets sent.

    hope this helps.

If it is a zone, I will add the device that triggered it on another line in the email.

Try out 2.0.31 in the HS3 updater
It should include the device in the email for a zone as well as in last alert device and on the alert panel

Let me know if this will work for you
          Cheers,

THANKS Bob!! I will try it tonight. I had only last question for you on the other thread about how to run the script. Could you let me know if that kind of event structure is the method I need to run that the HS speak script. Thank you again for your help with this. Think with prices of motion and door sensors coming down and more folks opting for z wave security this pi will be essential
