    Squeezbox Server on Ubuntu 12.04

    Anyone doing this right now?

Yesterday I was updating MythTV box which is also running Sqeezeplayer and totally trashed box running patches to get Squeezeserver to run.

    First test install was:

    1 -
    apt-get install libjson-xs-perl libev-perl libyaml-libyaml-perl
2 - installation of: 3 - Add the Logitech software repositories to Ubuntu's package manager
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
4 - Purge any existing Logitech media server install
    apt-get remove --purge logitechmediaserver
    apt-get remove --purge squeezeboxserver
    apt-get remove --purge squeezecenter
5 - Update the Ubuntu package manager to recognise the new Logitech repositories
    apt-get update
6 - Install the Logitech Media Server,
    apt-get install logitechmediaserver
