You can use "top" as well if you're familiar with that.

Are you leaving the Virtual keypad open all the time? It's a big resource hog.

    Z
I was indeed. I closed the virtual keypad and couldn't replicate the error. I then opened the virtual keypad and sure enough the problem returned. It look like leaving the virtual keypad open was causing the problem.

I can send those logs to you anyway just to see what's going on.

The log errors were becoming more frequent so as a last resort I decided to reimage HS3 onto a new SD card. I thought that with all the file access and writing related errors it might be worth a try. So far after two days not one single error has been logged.

It may well have been the SD card going bad. I will keep an eye on the log and report back on any reoccurrence.

Thanks for all the help vasrc

Is your log as still as busy as before? Send me a screen shot of the latest panel log.

I rebooted the PI3 earlier again today and not a single log error since. It's so frustrating when the problem becomes intermittent.

As soon as I see any more log errors I'll do a screen cap and send it to you.
