    Daily Forecast not updated

    Hi Jeff,

I have had this issue a few times but thought it was a fluke. Since it happened again today and I caught it, I thought I would report it.

I have the daily forecast updating at 0400 each day. Today it downloaded the file (attached) and seemed to process it. I see no errors in the log.

At 0700 I have a 2 day forecast speak. Today it did not insert the forecast. I attached a screen shot of the last speak. You can see it just said the hard coded words or the variable names I have in the speak but not the actual forecast.

I thought it might be an issue with the download but the file seems to have everything it needs.

Let me know what you need from me to help track it down. Using version .79

I'm not at home right now and it will be pretty late before I am.

Try this if you would. In the today textbox change #forecast# to #forecast0#.
    And #nightForecast# to #nightForecast0#.

If that works then add the numbers into the other boxes for now and let me know if that works. If it does I will need to work on fixing it to not require the numbers for the Today-Day 9 option.

      Hi Jeff,

I changed the forecast call to 0 and 1 and re-ran the Daily scheduled pull and it populated everything, so your suggestion worked.

I will need to let it run daily now and see if I get anymore days where there is no data.

I have added to my to do list to fix this. I will make sure the Today-Day9 speak item adds the number to the variable correctly.

Just checking in on this. Is the fix way down on the list or coming soon? Was not sure if I need to do anything different when the change comes or if what I have, that is working, will just stay.

          Thanks,

The variables with a number at the end will continue to work as that is what is actually replaced for speaking. If you select the days separately they use variableN for replacement. What the combined Today thru day9 is supposed to do is auto add the number to the variable. That is what I have to fix. I don't have as much time as I used to work on hobby things though so I am not sure when I will get to work on it. I am hoping to be able to work on it while I am off between Christmas and New Years Day.

              Hi Jeff,

Still have issues. Again this morning there was no forecast. The hard coded variables are there, but no forecast data. The forecast is setup to update once every hour at 3 minutes starting at midnight and ending at 5:59 AM. The file is there and has forecast data in it.

It happens randomly so not just weekends and not just weekdays.

Not sure what to do to troubleshoot this.

              Michael
