My Zwave network has been running great for over a year.
Yesterday, however, I noticed two Aspire RF9517 accessory switches were blinking and had "unknown" status in HS. One controlled a lutron recepticle that powers a HEPA filter, the other was a virtual 3-way for an Aspire RF9501 that controls my garage lights. A third RF9517 that controls another RF9501 was fine.
I used the replace node procedure to remove and add back each of the 9517s, which worked great. All I had to do was reset their associations and everything worked.
I've never had a node drop of the network. We had a brief power outage the night before (less than a second) so maybe that did it, but this brief power losses happen several times a month with no ill effect (I have over 4 hours of online UPS backup on all my computer hardware including HS and ZNet, so they didn't even notice), and there's a whole house surge, so that couldn't have done it either.
Anyway, all turned out well and the replace node worked great!
