Still new to this, but I have for z-wave:
1 x thermostat (Honeywell)
12 x dimmer/on-off light switches (Linear)
1 x door lock (Kwikset)
1 x garage door opener (Fortrezz Mimolite)
And I'm just finding things to be quite unreliable. I'm just hoping it's something I'm doing and would like to find out a way to troubleshoot it.
I am polling all the dimmers every 15 seconds as they don't auto-poll, just to monitor light status. Could this be causing too much z-wave network traffic which causes problems?
The problems I'm seeing is "unknown status" on devices, it's not exclusive to anything either. It'll go from a light switch to the door lock to the thermostat. Other times there are really bad delays, 5-10 seconds. However there are times where everything just works...quick response and is how it should be. I have checked the node information and at times I can get excellent to good on almost every device. Then after a while I'll have problems, have to optimize, etc... Then go and check the node information and a lot of the nodes are poor to bad. Might not be the exact terms but myHomeseer isn't working again so I can't check.
I have optimized over and over, resetting specific nodes and optimizing them, reset the z-wave stick, unplug and plugging it back in, restarting HS3, etc...
I'm running the latest version of HS3 as well as the ZWave plugin.
