Mini Remote (2342-2) only 4 buttons available

    Greetings!

I had the 2342-2 working correctly with 1.7.3.1. Moved to 1.9.1.3 and everything looks good except the 2342 only shows as a 4 button device. Tried deleting and re-adding device, no difference.

    HS/Pro 2.5.0.80
    2413U

    - Bob

    Reset the Mini and re-added.
    All is good.

      All,
I posted v1.9.2.1 which includes a small but important fix...
If an error occurred during the Read settings and Links of a KPL, the plugin would lose track of the KPL configuration (6 vs 8 btn).

      this should be fixed now.

you may need to reread the settings and links and then restart hs

Yes, I checked it and it was already set correctly. I compared it with the setting in windows device manager and they match. I'm not sure why the message indicates the port is not set.

Yes, they show enabled, even if I disable them and reboot and check again, they both come up enabled (x10 and "other") and the correct com port too.

                        these are the messages:
** You do not have the I/O interface enabled in HomeSeer **
Insteon functions are only available when the I/O interface is enabled.

Please make sure the interface is configured correctly and restart the plug-in.

as soon as I copy the 1.7.3.x versions back, it all works fine.

strange, i was able to reproduce your error by disabing the Other interface while the X10 interface was enabled.

                          try the following with v1.9.2:

Disable the Insteon plugin Other interface, and click Save. then enable the same interface and click Save. then restart HS

side note: there might be something wrong with HS. the com port fields should not be showing at all on the setup/interface page.

can you try disabling the x10 interface on the hs setup/interface and then restart hs.

also try the following while hs is shutdown

add the following line to the [config] section of your insteon.ini
                              InterfacePort=COMx

where COMx is COM1, etc. then restart hs.

also make sure the com port continues to show in the windows device manager under ports

The addition of "InterfacePort=COMx" did the trick. Error messages gone.

However, nothing happens when I use the buttons in the control column but only for the KPL controlling my X10 lamp modules. I went back to the stable release, 1.7.3.1 and still the same thing.
If I click the "control tab" and send X10 Commands from the "X-10 device Control" it works fine.
If I check back in the status tab, the correct button is updated after "polling".
