    OTA update

Can't seem to find instructions on how to update the API through the OTA.

Is there a document that lists the required steps?

    Mark.

Once you have installed an OTA enabled Sketch from the plug-in via USB, the boards will be available through the IDE for updating over the air. The initial sketch upload must be hardwired.

Simply open the sketch you wish to upload in the IDE and upload it to the desired board.

      OTA

Thanks for the info. I did do initial install via USB but none of the boards are showing as you described. I am using WeMos flavors of the NODEMCU not sure if this would matter. Any ideas?

By any chance do NODEMCU must be on the same subnet as the HS3?

I don't know. Are you running the latest beta of the Arduino plug-in?

Yes. The IDE will only find it on the same subnet.

Thank you. This is my problem then.

Do I have to load any special libraries? I am not able to see the device for the OTA upgrade. Not sure what I am missing.

Per the instructons, you need to download the libraries from the plug-in config page and you need to add the NodeMCU to the IDE. Once a sketch is loaded to the board by USB you will be able to do OTA going forward.
