Hi all. I want to connect an Aprilaire 8870 thermostat to an Elk M1G. I will obviously need to to get the 8811 protocol adapter, but I don't really see the need for the distribution panel if I'm only wiring one thermostat. I figured I may add more thermostats someday, but is it required for only one? I have a standard single stage HVAC. Thanks!
