    KeypadLinc Issue

    Hi All,

First time posting on the forum, I have a couple of Keypadlinc Controllers that appear to not properly register using the plugin. Most of my Keypadlincs allow both control and status updates from each button, however the two that I am having issues with don't update button status. After hard resetting and repairing these keypads to homeseer, the only button that I am able to see the status updates for is the A/Main button. Looking at the link list for each device shows that they are missing the "Button X has local control reporting to HomeSeer" lines. Is there a trick to get these keypads to have these lines added back in so i can have Homeseer respond to these button presses? Thanks.

    Josh,

Did you try to Reprogram Device for HomeSeer? The button at the bottom of the Insteon device setup page...

My keypad device channels/links look like this:

The Reprogram button is at the bottom of this page (where the info above is displayed)

Yes I did try that button and it doesn't add the missing links. Making sure we are talking about the same button i took a screenshot below.

if the plugin isn't updating status, then try the reset and reprogram interface from the plugin config page. sometimes the links in the plm get messed up and the plugin can't correct them.

Note: this will remove any links manually created to the plm or created via other software/plugins.

So after doing the reprogram command, it didn't appear to have worked, so i factory reset and deleted the two trouble devices and readded them normally and now they are programmed properly and appear to be functioning normally again. I am assuming reprogram command helped since the reset and re pair had failed previously. Thanks for your help!
