    Wiimote

Not sure if anyone out there has played around with them but off ebay you can get a wiimote and sensor bard for around $40 or so. It is easily tied into any OS and can substitute as an input device. I'm finding uses with it on the HTPC and with gaming but could see it used with an automation interface. Give it a whirl!

If I told my kid she could turn her lights off with a gesture, she would probably love it.

I was going to say gesture control and potentially for a tv based gui. It would be good for senior citizens or kids. The kid in me set it up already with Dolphin emulator and has Wii games running on my 110' screen! The bigger kid is going to use scripting to have it control pc passed games like skyrim.

FYI, I'm creating a HS3 plugin for Wiimote. A first version will be ready soon.
