I'm getting an error every couple of seconds in my HS log to do with a bulb and wondering if you have an idea what may be up?
The error is;
GetColor() ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. --- {"9001":"Dining Table","9002":1504900111,"9003":65536,"9020":1506975022,"575 0":2,"9054":0,"9019":1,"3311":[{"5850":1,"5851":25,"9003":0}],"3":{"6":1,"0":"IKEA of Sweden","1":"TRADFRI bulb E27 WS opal 980lm","2":"","3":"1.2.217"}}
I can control it from HS just fine (and the colours do work) however the device returns to value 0 when it gets this error (I get a very brief change of value but when the error/the bulb is polled) the value is set back to 0.
The app reports the device works just fine, I am at a bit of a loss. I've tried having a look through a couple of documents about the data structures but 10:30PM is not conducive to concentration.
Possible firmware change on the bulb? Although I do have two other bulbs reporting version 1.2.217 and they seem to behave themselves.

Just looking a bit further in this...I've managed to find out relevant parts of the data structure and I don't appear to have the colour reply in the data (?) from what I can see I get 9003 (instance ID) in the main lighting structure along with the dim level and state of the lamp (makes me think that the colour would be in here). It appears that 5709/5710 should be present to pass the colour detail? It definitely is a colour temperature bulb and controlling it by the remote control works.

You would think deleting the bulb in HS would sort it if it was a plugin issue which makes me think that the data coming back from the gateway is wrong but can't see why it would only play up with one bulb?

No, you can change location and rename it to anything you want, it shouldn't matter to the plugin. As long as the key on the back of the hub is the same, it shouldn't matter. I'm using the key as an identifier.

Again, not that it would matter, but the IP stays the same, right?
Earlier when I restarted the plugin it appears that it scanned and got some groups from the hub that I had deleted from inside HS (I didn't need them, I'm guessing I should be keeping the HS devices regardless?) so it created the group devices. I've kept those devices but in addition it created this new Tradfri hub device.
I deleted the old hub device as I thought the new one replaced it but now I am wondering - is the IP and key stored in this device? Reason being I have restarted the plugin again and the IP/key have now gone. They are missing from the config page, ini file however the 'new' hub device does have the key stored in it (see attached).
On the first issue I have re-scanned the bulbs and this is the debug entries as per the HS log.

Yes, the groups are re-created every time the plugin i started. I would suggest you just hide them if you don't use them, I'll see if I can add a "don't re-create groups" option.
The IP address is not stored in the hub device, only in the ini file. So far I'm not using the hub device for anything (except showing online or offline status) but I'm keeping the options open to support more than one hub.

Yeah, it IS very weird. Here's the command part of the JSON-string
Code:"3311":[{"5850":0,"5851":254,"9003":0}]
I would remove it and re-add it to the hub. I'm not sure, but I believe it will get the same ID as it had before, but do a bulb rescan anyways.HSPro 3.0.0.458, Z-NET with Z-wave plugin 3.0.1.190, RFXCOM + 2x RFXtrx433E, HSTouch, Squeezebox plugin, iTach IP/WF2IR & GC-100-6 with UltraGCIR, BLDenon, NetcamStudio, Jon00s Webpage builder, Harmony Hub plugin, SCSIP (with FreePBX), Arduino plugin, IFTTT, Pushalot plugin, Device History plugin.
