    CAPI question

My outdoor X10 floodlights are being turned on without explanation.

I see the following line in my Log file randomly several times per day:

Mar-12 1:28:01 PM Device Control Device: Outside Garage garage door floodlights to On (100) by/from: CAPI Control Handler

Can anyone explain why? Or what is going on?

    thanks,

    Ron

These entries suggest that the lights are being turned on by HomeSeer which is a relief with X10 that it is not a rogue signal. It unfortunately does not narrow it down any more, it can be via the web interface, HSTouch, an event or a script. That does not help I know but what I would suggest is checking your events, in the top of the events page you should see the option to filter by device. If you select the flood lights then take a look to see what events control that device, you might find it is turning on after being left in an event by accident.

      thanks for the info.

I'm going to try to eliminate some of the variables.
I'll start by unchecking the Setting for the flood lights (I'll keep the logging)
