Is there a way to sync controller devices to responder only device status?

    Mark,

In your plugin if I link a keypadlinc button to a switchlinc there is an option to sync responder devices so if I crosslink them and turn on the switchlinc in HS, the keypadlinc button also goes on..this is great.

However, if I have a responder only device such as a lamplinc, how do I accomplish the same thing? I.e. there is no option to sync responder devices because the lamplinc cannot act as a controller. None the less, if I turn the lamplinc on in HS, I would like the keypadlinc button to go on as well.

    Hopefully this makes sense.

    Thanks

    H,
I understand what you are describing and asking for. People have the same problem with the fanlinc as it is a responder only as well.

I tried to automate this once by creating a similar option 'sync linked controller devices' but it threw the system into a spiral. The reason being if you had both options checked, things would start turning on and off in a cycle

i think the easiest thing is to create an event to sync the kpl btn.

That's kind of the path I was heading. Thanks for confirming.

Here's my solution to this issue. I never turn the lamplinc on or off from HS. Instead, I turn the keypadlinc button on of off from HS. With everything set correctly, doing this causes the lamplinc to be turned on or off, just as I want, and the keypadlinc button stays in sync with it (no HS event required).
