you need kinect plugin version >= 3.0.0.26 to avoid these errors

      Kinect users,
I have released version 3.0.0.29 of the kinect plugin which includes some fixes to use it with the FaceRecognition plugin.

do not forget to add the .jpg hint at the end of your url in the FaceRecognition config page:
      http://<ip_of_kinect_instance>:8078/kinectsnapshot?.jpg

and if the FaceRecognition and Kinect plugin do not run on the same machine, you need to make sure that there is no firewall that blocks the 8078 port on the kinect machine.

Hi Gearyt, can you try this url.
                http://192.168.1.143/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi
Your url goes to a webpage and not the real image.
Please excuse any spelling and grammatical errors I may make.

the url you are using is not a video stream, it's a html page (with menu, buttons, etc) inside which you can see the video stream, but you can't use it in the FaceRecognition plugin as it not able to use html as source input.

according to the user guide for the Axis Q7404 I found here http://www.use-ip.co.uk/datasheets/a...usermanual.pdf

you should be able to use this url
                  http://<ip>/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi

in your case I guess it would be
                  http://192.168.1.143/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?.jpg

Note that you need to add the ?.jpg and to tick the snapshot mode checkbox because it is a still image url, not a real video stream

try first in a browser and let me know

the end of the url should not be image.cgi.jpg but image.cgi?.jpg

try first in a browser, if the url doesn't work in a browser, it won't work in the plugin either
