HS3-Pi Software Install on Pi 2

I am attempting to install the latest HS3-Pi Software I just purchased. I have tried with two different SD Cards and have gotten the same result.

The install goes fine and when it boots up the last message in the boot up sequence is "Illegal Instruction." See images at: https://goo.gl/photos/Nd3riLQCJhTmopKM7

When I go to http://find.homeseer.com/findhomeseer/ to access the web interface I see an IP for the Maintenance but no IP under System.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you loading the HS3 for Pi image, or the zee image? Please see this guide: http://homeseer.com/guides/HomeSeer-HS3Pi-Guide.pdf

Could it be an ARMv6/v7 issue?

Could be. I have had trouble between RPI 1b and RPI 3, but I had assumed that hardware differences between RPI2 and RPI 3 was minimal. Homeseer's HS3 for Pi guide seems to indicate compatibility with both RPI2 and RPI3. It think it is best to confirm what OP is deploying to the SD card first.

No, the difference could actually not be more substantial. Completely difference hardware architecture.

Here have issues with Jessie Lite on the RPi2. It runs much slower than Wheezy did for me.

Personally the RPi folks should have increased the RAM on the RPi3 and made the wlan/bluetooth optional modules instead of integrating it in to the device.

Note that this is only my opinion.

Note that this is related to a DIY of the RPi2 install of Jessie Lite then the install of Homeseer on the RPi2. This is not the same as the images provided by Homeseer.

The image provided by Homeseer should work fine on the RPi2 and RPi3.

That said before starting Homeseer ssh to the device and update it.

            IE:

            1 - apt-get update
            2 - apt-get upgrade or apt-get dist-upgrade

Then in command line mode run ./go to start Homeseer and watch it load.

You might be missing some mono dependency that is causing your issue.

Post the error lines here on the forum. Note just post the error in the startup if you see it.
