    AEON LABS door sensor

    Greetings all,

From the documentation on homeseer online shop, this unit is supposed to send an update every so often (6, 12, 18, ... minutes).

    Mine does not.
    Any tricks on that ?

Did you optimize the node several times in its final place?

Is yours not sending the door status?

I have one Aeon labs door sensor and it works fine. I have three other Everspring ones; those have been more problematic for me overall-- but right now they are working well.

Have a 1/2 dozen AeonLab Door and Window Sensors in my network all report door status correctly - battery status has been hit or miss depending on firmware version

              Greetings,

I can see in the configuration:
The device periodically sends notifications for its sensors.
Please note that shorter intervals will reduce battery life.

This is an email I received from Aeon Labs:
I am not 100% certain whether this function is enabled in the D/W Sensor
right now. Can you please show us where in the documentation you see this?

It does not work at my place.
              Any idea ?

              Thanks

wpman: When you say they work fine.. Do you mean that they send the status when you open / close a door (which mine does correctly) , or do you mean that you receive a status every 6 or 12 minutes ?

                Kaldon: same question...

The test to make is: Reboot homeseer, and while it's rebooting, change the status of one of the sensors. When homeseer is done rebooting, you will probably see the old status. The question is: If you wait 10 minutes without touching the sensor (close or open), will you receive the new status ?
