La Crosse must be enabled for this sensor.

I chart 3 of them here : http://meteo.noiset.free.fr/ choose "SoilH" menu
I am revising my first evaluation, on the middle run they seem trustable.
Answer to watering is very clear. I chart values more or less every hour, which seems may be too frequent... every 2 hours would be more efficient ??

I know this is a VERY old post, but I have got a few of these soil monitors. They have a number on the circuit: WG-PB24A. They don't seem to be working with RFXCOM. The monitor shows

          0903040227AA0A7FFF30
          Packettype = UNDECODED RF Message
          UNDECODED LACROSSE:27AA0A7FFF30

          Should they decode as Lacrosse?

          Cheers

What version of rfxcom plugin r u using ?

Did u check rfxcom pdf file ?
if u enable to much or the wrong ones it can make you unable to receive certain sensors.

I have only this enabled and i receive all with no problems :

                X10,ARC,AC,HEU.OS,MER,HID,LAC,L4,OP,HC

Try to disable visonic and it should work.

Same as Malosa here, they are reliable for years now.
I suppose you have checked proper communication...
Thus they are listed in RFXCOM plugin in <plugins><rfxcom><inputdevices>
And so you have in the RSSI column a value which indicates the strength of the communication. In my experience, better to get more than 3.
I replicate part of my home Dashboard here : http://meteo.noiset.free.fr/html/tensiojs.html You may see result on the "tensio" page. I am due to be watering my orchids today!.

I just bought one of these sensors as they are very cheap. I enabled LaCrosse, but it doesnt come up. My sensor did not come with instructions as it was used, but when I put the batteries in it flashed blue. I could not see any reset button, is there one ? Its not showing up as a new sensor in my sensor list, I have waited for 1 hour and still nothing. Am I missing something ?

I think there is no reset button, you can sort of reset the device removing batteries...
Normally, the device appears in a few seconds, no need to wait hours...
it is unlikely that the 3 devices fail the same way...
Sorry for basic advice, I dont know your situation,
You may change channel with the small 3 position switcher,
You should try with device very close to your trx, to be sure there in no interference for radio transmission,
You should check that you got the right firmware version for your trx, compatibility appeared in 2014...
Check if you got the right HS3 RFXCOM plugin version too...
That's all which come to my mind at the moment

In the latest version of the plugin you need to enable Opus per the instructions. That should fix it.

Exactly, i totally forget to mention it !
                            Without Opus it doesnt work.

I read here I had to tick Lacrosse. I unticked it and ticked Opus and it came up straight away. Thanks

Thank you, but nope, nada, nothing. I can see it in RFXMngr but nothing in HS3

I presume they are different to the ones you guys use.
                                Thank you for your help
