I am looking for a plugin that can randomly turn on lights when I am not home. I have a virtual device with different modes, i.e. Home, Sleep, Vacation, Away. I want the plugin to only randomly turn on lights when the mode is Vacation or Away but not Home or Sleep. I looked at the settings in BLOccupied but couldn't find any 'global' on/off that can be triggered based on my status. Is there a way to do this?

You can also trigger other Events based upon this change, but it is not offered as a condition. I control mine with an occupancy virtual device like you do, triggering the start and stop of simulation based on the status of that device. My simulation is turned on for Vacation and Away and off for Home and Sleep.
If you want a device you can see or use to control the simulation, you could easily setup a pair of events and a virtual device to show the status. I use such a virtual device to show the status as well as to manually control it.HS4 Pro, 4.2.19.0 Windows 10 pro, Supermicro LP Xeon

Thank you for the post. I didn't realize that there was an On/Off event for this "device". I actually have exactly the same setup as you, i.e. I have Home, Sleep, Away and Vacation. For the former two I want the occupancy simulation disabled and for the later two enabled. I did create two events "Occupancy Simulation Off" and "Occupancy Simulation On". Below is a screenshot.
To get there, add a new event, then for "IF" select "A Device's Value is...", "A device has set its value to", Device = "Location" (that's what I call my virtual device for Home/Sleep/Away/Vacation"), "Is Set To" (select "Vacation"). Then on that same line click on the green plus sign to the right. A new line appears where you need to select "OR IF". Repeat the above, i.e. select "A device's Value is...", "this device has its value set to", "Location" (again my virtual device), "Away". After that you go to the "THEN" line and select "VLOccupied: Start Occupancy Simulation".
After that you create another event that turn on the simulation. So you repeat the above but select "Home" and "Sleep" to turn the simulation off.
I haven't tested this yet but I think it will work.

Question, I understand how to get BLOccuppy to turn-on, whilst it is turned on are you using the virtual device to turn off other normally schedule events as a trigger and the when the PI is turned off they are turned back on/operating again?

Blade thanks for the comeback. My question is centered around my normal events that are not "home status" controlled but are scheduled daily e.g Turn On certain lights at 6:30am and turn them off at 9:30am irregardless if I'm home or not. So if BLOccupy is also running in parallel so I believe that I should add Home/Away triggers to turn them normal scheduled light events Off when I'm away and BLOccupy On And the inverse when I'm home to avoid parallel light events. If you have scheduled events that turn on and off lights at certain times they could conflict with BLOccupied only if you select them as devices to use with the plugin.
Best thing might be to disable them and re-enable back on when you turn off the plugin processing. Although if you are not using them as devices in the plugin then I see no reason why you could not leave the scheduled events active.
Hope that helps

Bob, thanks it helps confirm my thoughts, being a relative Nubie I've yet to implement Home Modes and this will be a forcing function as I've finally got PHLocation, GeoFency and iBeacons working just recently. I guess it time to turn the corner[emoji50]

Are they within the vehicle or else where? I notice that the one in my Sonata seems to act erratically but I think it has something to do with USB that's connected directly with my center console I'm thinking about getting a cig lighter USB plugin. I currently have two near my main entrances and the work flawlessly, the secret was to get the broadcast power level down to avoid false alarms like being up stairs near the front door or USB overlapping which depending on each proximity to each other would both indicate entry status which provide a condition of not knowing where in the house the iPhone user (Me) actually was.
