Best thermostat

Can anyone suggest a thermostat that:

Works with HS3

Gives instant status

Can be integrated into HS3 Touch Designer without custom programming


In other words - a thermostat that completely works with Homeseer without extensive struggle.

Nest, I have one and it works great, I did have a z wave one once and it was dangerous, it would get locked up and leave the heading on constantly, came home one day to find my house was boiling, so whatever you do make sure you buy a good reputable one.

Won't say best, but pretty close for me. I don't have experience with other brands so can't comment.
Trane z-wave thermostats. I've had it for several years are my second home, and just bought three for my primary home two weeks ago. They have been rock solid all these years.

I did use it with hstouch. I made custom screens, spent endless hours on it. Then one day HST came out with an update....well some how it konked out the thermostat on hstouch. I never went back and fixed it. I'm moving to imperihome soon.
