So been chasing around random lighting delays for a while, had some good ideas/help from many people on here. The delays are still there at random times only a second or so but still annoying. Im coming across a separate issue which may be linked, who knows.
Below are some debug logs of the situation where i walk to my entryway (bottom of stairs), hallway (top of stairs) motion sensor led illuminates and that light comes on, then the enrtyway (bottom of stairs) motion sensor led illuminates and the light comes on. The entryway should light first as the sensor is offset from the hallway sensor (horizontally speaking) so there is a blindspot (12 inch, not much i know). 90% of the time it works as it should, other times i have this scenario and other times i get either a delayed entryway, or the hallway will not pick up motion until i reach near the top of the stairs.
I use aeotec multisensor 6 and i know they work better when you cross the field of detection horizontally which leads me to think maybe the positioning of the hallway sensor isnt ideal as im walking towards it most of the time but doesnt explain why it works 50% of the time when i reach the bottom of stairs. I can see the led does not light on these occasions where everything falls apart, ive tried walking as far horizontally as physically possible before walking up the stairs, flailing my arms, ducking and bobbing like some weird mating ritual as i walk there, nothing achieves a consistent result.
The front door faces the stairway so when i come home i have the same random results, both work, only one works, delayed etc. Swapped multisensors with other new ones in the house which have a new firmware version, same result so not a dodgy sensor or firmware.
The 1st/2nd log will show when it works as it should, entryway then hallway. The 3rd/4th vice a versa. There is a total of 4 logs, the debug logs pulled directly from the homeseer directory and the logs copied from the web interface.
Your time is appreciated as i understand even though this log is small, its time consuming. I can post the events if needed. Many thanks
Lights are LIFX, z wave interface is aeotec usb stick (latest), running hs3 pro linux full version on rpi3.
EDIT: Easy delay to spot is the 5th log at the bottom, i've highlighted in red.
