Kodi 18 Event Bug [Kodi Action->Player Open Media->Favourite]

Kodi 18 is still in the nightly stages, but wanted to submit a bug as a heads up.

When trying to run a [Kodi Action->Player Open Media->Favourite] event, the list of favorites shows up but upon selection reverts to "--Please Select--".

In the meantime I'm using the "File" option and manually directing it toward the target file/stream.

was it working with Kodi 17, or have you only tested 18?

Ditto, favorites never worked for me when I added Playlists to favorites.

Workaround is to open Favorites.xml in %appdata%, get the path, and play it like a file.

This stopped working with Leigh Kodi upgrade

Anyone either get Favorites in the plugin to allow a selection (just goes back to blank if anything is selected)...or know the special file path that will work to play an XSP playlist?

There are 2 types of favourites: media or window. When you add a playlist as a favourite it is treated as a window type, meaning that if you click on it from the Favourites menu it will bring you to a screen where you can see your playlist but it will not start to play it.

The Player Open Media action only handle the favourites of type "media". So from version 3.0.1.14 I have filtered out from the dropdown list everything that is not media type.

To play a playlist from an event see this post: https://forums.homeseer.com/forum/me...46#post1286646
