    1-wire switch/dry contact sensor?

Good afternoon, had a few questions:

    - Will this plugin work in zee-s2?
    - I need to read both temperatures and dry contact inputs, I was gonna get OW-SERVER-enet2, and proper temp sensor like OW-TEMP-B3-12RA, but I am not sure which 1-wire sensor I need to detect dry contact/switch so it shows on/off in this plugin?
    - if I get the latching relay option for OW-SERVER-enet2, will it show up in this plugin and be controllable?

    thank you.

Yes, the plug-in works with the Z as long as the supported 1-Wire host adapter supports a network connection. What type of dry contact/switch where you looking to purchase?
Plug-ins: UltraMon, UltraM1G, UltraCID, Ultra1Wire, UltraLog, UltraWeatherBug, UltraPioneerAVR, UltraGCIR

I will bringing in a relay contact as an input, so it is completely dry contact.
What i am doing is I am gonna monitor a 120v pump, so i will put a dry contact CT or I will put a 120V relay in parallel with pump contactor, then wire of its contacts to the 1-wire sensor. but I don't know which 1-wire sensor takes a dry contact input?
I don't really want a counter, because I assume that does not show up as off/on in the plugin.

      thx

The only ones I'm aware of are http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/D...Card_p_12.html and http://www.hw-group.com/products/sen...1W-UNI_en.html. Not sure if the plugin supports these though, so Randy (Ultrajones) will need to comment on that.

Thanks, yes I saw those, and was also hoping that Ultrajones would confirm one way or the other.
Because I want to also make sure they show up in the plugin as switches, and not counters or some other non intuitive child device.
          cheers.

If you're looking for a device like http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/O...put_p_207.html, then I can send them an e-mail asking if it's compatible with the OW-Server. If it is, then I can add support for it. Please confirm.

appreciate the reply, the module you mentioned is analog, I was looking to buy the discrete model:
              http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/O...put_p_209.html

              or use the cheaper units:

              http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/D...Card_p_12.html

Could you possibly check and see if you could add them.

When I look at the present plugin user guide I see screen shots where "switch" devices are shown in hs3 device management screens, what product was used to retrieve that sort of points/devices? Is it the serial Midon temp08 with 1WIO sensor?

              thx.

I sent another e-mail to EDS asking about the OW-IO-DIO8 - Octal Discrete Input & Output. I'll post a reply here when/if I receive a response.

Ok, thank you. Will be standing by.

Another question, do you think you would ever add support for this device:

I received the device and have it connected to my OWServer. I am still working on this ...

I personally plan to have it set to detect 4 inputs(digital) and have 4 outputs(will wire dc relays to the outputs) and also maybe use the onboard relay as well, as long as the plugin can interact with it.
                            cheers.

Is this supported now? I'm interested in using the D2 ( http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/D...Card_p_12.html ) configured as 2 digital inputs with my OWServer and the plugin, with the D2 connected to current sensors to determine power state of some Home Theater equipment, which I used to do with my Ocelot and SECU16. I still have the Ocelot and SECU16, but don't have enough wire ran to the desired monitoring location to use them, but do have my 1wire bus already extended there (sharing CAT5 with my IR bus).
