    Zee2 -> Can't install plugins

I'm doing some debugging with JowiHue and wanted to install it on my Zee2, so I don't mess up my main server.

However, I can't install it and this is the only thing I've got from the log:
    Code:
nov-23 14:19:07 Updater	Install/Update of package JowiHue failed.
nov-23 14:19:07 Updater Error	Installation of package JowiHue failed. Try disabling the plugin first, then re-try the update.
nov-23 14:19:06 Updater	Installing package JowiHue
    nov-23 14:19:06 Updater	Update HSPI_JowiHue.exe downloaded successfully
nov-23 14:19:04 Updater	Downloading update: JowiHue
nov-23 14:19:04 Updater	Starting download of updates
It's hard to disable a plugin that's not even installed...

I see the downloaded zip files being unpacked under Updates3, but then it fails.
    What can I do?

      It's not a Jowi-problem, it's a Zee2 problem as it goes for ALL plugins.

Check to make sure you have not filled up the SD card on the Zee2.

        df -l

Here original build of the Zee-2 was on an 8Gb microSD card, then went to a 16Gb microSD card.

I see the zip files getting dowloaded. If it was full that should not happen, right?

It could still happen if you happen to be close to capacity of the microSD card.

              You are not.

What do the logs show for other plugin downloads/installs?

Pick a plugin whichever one you want and install it and do a copy and paste of the HS3 logs.

It doesn't matter what plugin I'm trying to download, the same error shows up.

Enable the check box under managing plugins for developer mode.

See that you are running V.368 (release).

Then download any plugin and install it. Note removed the manual run of HS3 via a terminal window as I see everything in the HS3 Logs.

The installation is just running a script which is a text file included in the downloaded zip file.

Here are the log entries downloading an update and installing it. (note this is not a new plugin).

                        @Magnus,

Homeseer 3 is Homeseer 3 and just a directory on your Zee2. There are no tricks to running Homeseer 3 on Linux. It is easier than Windows.

It is the same as Homeseer 3 Standard or Pro running on any Linux box except for the limit of 5 plugins on the Zee2 version of Homeseer.

As mentioned above install any plugin and post your logs here. Help me help you.

For reinstallation or update of your V.368 stuff might be easier to do the update manually via SSH with Homeseer 3 in off mode.

                        IE:
1 - shut down your HS3 (not the RPi3) program.
                        2 - ssh to your Zee2
                        3 - sudo su
                        4 - cd /usr/local/HomeSeer
                        5 - ./updatehs 368
                        6 - reboot
7 - test you plugins download / installation

If you do not see the above try reinstalling V.368 over your current installation. Make sure that HS3 is OFF while you are doing this.
                          I still only get this:
                          Code:
nov-28 02:09:17 Updater	Install/Update of package JowiHue failed.
nov-28 02:09:17 Updater Error	Installation of package JowiHue failed. Try disabling the plugin first, then re-try the update.

                          A Zee2 bought from HomeSeer.

Okay, this seems weird to me:

                          Code:
                          root@HomeTrollerZeeS2:/usr/local/HomeSeer# ls update*
                          updatehs.sh updater.txt update.sh
                          root@HomeTrollerZeeS2:/usr/local/HomeSeer# updatehs.sh 368
                          bash: updatehs.sh: command not found
                          root@HomeTrollerZeeS2:/usr/local/HomeSeer#
                          I see the files "up.sh", "update.sh" and "updatehs.sh", but apparently I can't run them?!

I'm wondering about just starting over.

Is there an image for the Zee2 somewhere?
Or does the built in ":911" feature reset the image to "factory" settings?

In Linux, the cirrent directory isn't normally included in the command search path -- so you need to specify the directory the command file is in, in this case the current directory '.'

                            So try
                            ./updatehs.sh 368

I did try that, but I'll give it another go, and that helped.

Is it normal that is says "Installing files" and then just returns to the prompt?
