Actually, Macromark's washer/dryer icons for on/off are orange/gray, which is a departure from the regular HS on/off icons which are yellow/gray.

So, I think we need some consistency to keep everything somewhat....consistent.

FWIW, I like green for devices that are ON as well...

iconsdb seems a little confused, right about the don't make it available statement is another that says "Don't hotlink to this icon. Download and host it on your own server."

eventually I am going to get HSTouch going other than default... when that time comes I am going to have a very tough time on icons as I do not like any (sorry) of these colored icons...
just not my cup of tea.... I prefer the old HS2 colored icons.. had nice ones for garage doors up and down...

but i wanted to subscribe to this thread...

We need to be careful since images are licensed on the net. The safest bet is to create them yourself.

The base TV image was from somewhere on github. There was no statement that it was licensed; however in review of the site, there is no copyright statement at all. So, out of fear as I do not know the original source I have removed the images from the postings.

I can very easily have fully drawn my own. But now that I posted the previous images, we could get into the debate that the new images were inspired by the initial image and therefore could still be under the original artist's copyright.

I didn't post to nitpick. A few years ago, one of our plug-in developers submitted a product image that included a copyrighted graphic. Shortly after publishing the product page, we received a letter from an attorney demanding $1,500 for use of the image. That was forwarded to the author and that person paid the fee. That is why I'm asking that only original icons be shared here.

I fully understood the reasoning for your post. Due to the subjectively of copyright laws and not knowing the true owner of the TV graphic I used, I can only hope that removing the images from the forum is sufficient action.

FWIW, flaticons.net is a good source for icons.
