How to send status in email

    Hi All

Just installed this, but can;t figure out how to send an message when the status changes (got that bit done) wiht the current status (i.e. has it just switched to on battery or on AC)?

I know I could have an event that runs every x-minutes to check status, but would prefer to use a more efficient device status change. just need to get the statu sin the e-mail

    Regards

    Mark

I think you can set up an event to run when the value of "Power Status" changes from ON to OFF and vice versa. Then set the event to send an email to you.

FYI, you can also use the $$DS replacement variable to include a device's status in an email. So if you wanted the status of device A1 you would put $$DS:A1
