Is it already installed? It shouldn't be any different that a regular outlet, if you ignore the extra wire for the always hot, if it is even in the switch box....HomeSeer Version: HS4 Pro Edition 4.2.19.0 (Windows - Running as a Service)

It is not recommended to use a dimmer device to control an outlet, because of the risk of plugging in a motor or some other non-dimmable device. That being said, the HS-WD100+ dimmer would control the outlet the same as a switch, but you will need a neutral. The black supply lead will go to the line connection on the dimmer, the black lead going to the outlet would go to the load connection. The neutral (white) lead goes to the neutral connection on the dimmer. The accessory connects to neutral and to a traveler wire back to the dimmer.HS4 Pro, 4.2.19.0 Windows 10 pro, Supermicro LP Xeon
