    Is there a substitute for X10 SS13A?

Is there another option other than X10 SS13A? I am looking for a type of x10 rocker switch similar to SS13A...

Hi Hector, SS13A is still available:http://www.thehomeautomationstore.com/ss13a.html. If you are looking for something similar what features are you looking for that are different then an SS13A?

    Cheers

Similar switches in several different configurations are shown near the bottom of this page ==> http://www.x10.com/x10-pro.html?p=2

Looking for something with a big button rocker feel to it. The ss13a is kinda flimsy.

Do you need 4 switches and dim? One option with two switches is the http://www.coco-technology.com/shop/en/awst-8802/ which works on 433Mhz and is supported by the RFXCom plugin. Is battery powered a must?

          Cheers

No dim, at least 3 switches and it needs to be battery powered.

I don't have one (yet), and I believe it's supported. It's the same as: http://www.klikaanklikuit.nl/shop/nl...aar-awst-8802/. According to the RFXCom website and documentation, KlikAanKlikUit is supported. To be 100% sure, you would need to ask Bert.

                Cheers

A bit off a tangent here....

Sometime in the 2000's I was involved in building an office in the EU (well Paris). It was most difficult because the entire office was glass and there was a few computers (maybe 10?) in the office. They didn't want to see any wires anywhere. It was built a bit ahead of its time. I saw a lot of this in the EU (much more than I saw here in the US). The office while not relating to any sort of art; was a piece of art; well best way to explain it.

Difficult; mixed some mirrors with the glass; real PITA to do this. It was between two streets and you could see the street on the opposite side from both entry doors.

Something like the switches mentioned would have worked better. (endeavor above used switches in the utility room near the fuse panel of the office).

In the 80's at home did utilize a few X-10 "stickems" in a few place around the house. Very easy, convenient and reasonably priced.
