Music Selector Only Working for One Speaker

    Hello all,

After reading way too many HA audio reviews, I decided to buy 2 Sonos One speakers to try out before deploying in every room. The PI is a pretty darn cool, but I'm having a couple of problems:

The first one I will bring up in another thread, and I only mention it in case it is connected to the 2nd problem. I can't get HSTouch to recognize Pandora radio stations (also added to my Sonos favorites) and the SonosRadioStationsDB.sdb is 0 bytes. I'm getting this error at startup:

    Code:
Jun-23 9:14:24 AM Sonos	UpdateRadioStationsInfo done for Zone = Office
Jun-23 9:14:24 AM Sonos	UpdateRadioStationsInfo updated RadioStation = Learned - Disco Radio for Zone = Office with QueryResult = 0
[COLOR="Red"]Jun-23 9:14:24 AM Sonos Error	Type = Learned

Jun-23 9:14:24 AM Sonos	GetcurrentTrackInfo called for zoneplayer - Office
The issue that I am trying to correct today is that when using a music selector in an HSTouch screen, the track is sent to the same speaker regardless of which device I choose in HSTouch Designer.

When using a Music device, regardless of choosing "Sonos:RINCON_7828CA1B182A01400 Music Selector" or "Sonos:RINCON_7828CA1B185401400 Playlists Selector" the selected track always is sent to the Sonos:RINCON_7828CA1B182A01400 speaker.

Buttons for Play, Pause, etc work correctly when using "Control a HomeSeer Device". Also all functions work correctly when using the Sonos app.

    Any thoughts?

The music selector really does not work properly in HS3, very long story. You should be able to control all devices just using home control devices. Browsing content is a thing of the past (HS2).

The log you showed does seem to indicate an issue with the radiostation DB. Did you install this PI from the updater or was there some copy/paste going on? I recommend you use the installer (again) to make sure the SQL DLLS are copied in the right directory.

      Thanks for the reply Dirk.

What is the best way to choose files to play in HSTouch from the locally stored mp3 files - I've got over 3000 of them?

There was no cut & paste involved, I used the installer from the plugin management page. I suspect there's something screwy in my install though. I'm fairly new to HS, but believe I uninstalled the PI correctly (stopped the PI, stopped HS, deleted all Sonos related files/folders in the HS directory & HTML folder, rebooted the computer).

Then I reinstalled the PI and got all of these errors:

Yes you didn't delete the sonos.ini file which is in the <hsroot>\config directory. This file is cached by HS so you need to stop HS, delete the .ini file, start HS again and all should be kosher.

Browsing was supposed to be part of the MediaAPI of HS3 but I could never make it work properly (you need to set the "mediaAPI" option in the PI config page and restart HS3). However with 3000 items, I suspect you'll quickly find that HStouch will be sluggish or unresponsive as it keeps on asking for the same information over and over and over ..... Some people added an i-Frame to their HST screens and put the Player config parts (navigation screen and queue table) on their screens (see here https://forums.homeseer.com/showthre...ghlight=iframe).

        Hope this helps,

        Dirk

It seems you were right - I must not have deleted the ini file - the PI now learns radio stations. I'll look into the i-Frame solution.

Thank you for your help, and this awesome plugin!
