    RFXCOM Install Issue

I am able to add the RFXCOM device using the Manage Plugins tab. In the Home screen I have 2 RFXCOM entries...one that says Receiver1 is not used and one that says Interface Panel that has a green check mark status. In the Plugins/RFXCOM/Input Devices tab I am unable to add any of my Oregon weather station components. They can all be seen by the Oregon base station. Thoughts?

Did you configure the RFXrec433E on the RFXCOM - RFXtrx/RFXrec page?

The RFXCOM - Receiver page is for the old receivers!

See also the RFXCOM HS3 User Guide.pdf.
This document is in the Homeseer HS3\Docs directory

Yes I did add it on the RFXtrx/RFXrec page. I have reviewed the referenced Users Guide.

please send a screendump of the RFXrec device - RFXCOM tab to: support rfxcom.com
I also like to receive log data received in the HS log:
        - On the RFXCOM - General tab: enable Debug Level 2 for the receivers,
        - Click Done,
        - stop - start the RFXCOM plug-in,

copy-paste the log with RFXCOM debug info in the email to support

        - On the RFXCOM - General tab: disable Debug Level 2 for the receivers,
        - Click Done.

You should select the COM port for the RFXrec like here:

              RFCCOM Install Issues Almost Resolved!

You got me on the right track! I can now receive temperature, humidity & rainfall from the Oregon weather station. Just have to figure out why RFXCOM can't see the WTGR800 wind sensor and how I change the temperature being posted by RFXCOM to Fahrenheit. I fear the Oregon base station does the conversion from the sensor. Your thoughts?

              Thanks for your support,
              Bob

Hi Bob, you can change metric/imperial units on the General tab of the plugin.

                Cheers

Everything working. Thanks for your help. It appears that in addition to getting settings correct, it takes a little trying & re-trying to get RFXCOM up and running.
