    Error?

Hi Spud, I installed as recommended but having problems....

Note HS updated itself to the new 3.0.0.1 version when I rebooted - not sure if that is the problem or if I need to do something else. Error screen shot attached.

still works for me after HS updated to 3.0.0.1

Could you try to restart HS (and enable Airplay Speak PI if it's not) and then send me the full logs (from View / Log)

      thanks

Also make sure the Apple Bonjour service is installed and running on your HS3 machine.

If it isn't, you can download it from the following links:

Tried turning it on and off and reinstalled the plug-in

Tried turning it on and off and uninstalling and reinstalling the airplay plugin - no joy - still the same error.

See below for section of Log w/ Airplay error information.

I also tried shutting down my HS2 machine thinking they had some type of contention problem but that did not help. Not sure what else to try/do.

Not sure what's wrong. I have to check with HS guys what does this error mean and when it can happen.

            I can't reproduce this myself.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

              Some additional info

I still have not solved this, I was thinking my Symantec Anti-Virus SW (which is managing my firewall) was blocking the Bonjour service or it was not running properly.

I checked the windows service and it looked OK but to be safe I created some firewall rules to allow the Bonjour TCP/UDP traffic to pass. I even made a few application rules for HS3 and the HSAirplay.exe plugin - no joy

Turned off the firewall, no joy - I even installed iTunes to verify no issues with Bonjour. I can stream music to my Airplay speakers from the HS3 PC so I'm assuming this is not a Bonjour issue - totally out of ideas... Sigh

thanks a lot for the tests.

so a workaround is to start another paid plugin or to restart HS3?

not sure.. the problem did not come back... my guess as I saw in other plug-in posts, was just to restart HS and enable the plug-in again
