I used Homeseer about 2 years ago and had issues with an Aeotec Multisensor Gen5 and door sensors responding. I also had major issues with HSTouch on my iPhone crashing. I moved over to Smartthings V1 and also had response issues with that. However, when Smartthings V2 hub came out, it really stabilized that platform and have been using that for the past 2 years with really good success. However, since some of the commands are still cloud based, and I had an investment with HS3 and HSTouch Designer software, I decided to try HS3 again. I have 45+ devices and the ones that either are based on timed events (sunrise, sunset, etc) or controlled with HSTouch are basically flawless so far. However, I have had varied results with any of my motion or door sensors. I have the following:
Aeotec Multisensor 6
Aeotec Mulitsensor Gen5
Homeseer HSM200
Ecolink PIR-ZWave2.5-ECO
Aeotec Recessed Door Sensors
And none of them work reliably. I even bought a Z-NET and centrally located it hardwired to my HS3 setup. I am running HS3 on Debian 9 VM on Proxmox. I currently have 2 cores and 4GB RAM allocated to the VM and it never uses more than 10% CPU or over 600MB RAM, so I doubt that is the issue.
I can see the motion sensor/door light indicate motion/door open and sometimes they work instantaneously, but other times it can take 20-30 seconds. The only motion sensor I was using with ST was the Gen5 sensor, which worked very well. The other motion sensors I was using with ST was their motion sensors (zig bee ), and again, the worked almost instantly each time. The door sensors are the same and again always worked. So I know it's not the door sensor or the Gen5 that's the issue. It must be something with HS3 or how I have something configured. I know this isn't a lot of details, but I'll get any info needed to troubleshoot the issues. I'd like to start with the door sensor first, since one is on the Pantry Door and gets used all the time.
Any help would be really appreciated.
