I think I have a setting issue. I have solved the connectivity issue by just using a com interface to the gem. I now have a reliable connection that does not drop. I do still have a problem I would like your assistance in solving.
When viewing the gem http interface I have "net" selected for ch1 and ch15. Those channels are my "main" service in on ch1, and my solar plant on ch15. They should indicate a positive number at night showing consumption, and a negative number during the sunny day time showing production of solar exceeding loads and power returning to the grid.
I have monitored the values in the http gem page and they follow the above logic, (the solar value on ch15 is negative during production, and positive during the night as the inverters draw 2watts at rest. The mains circuit on ch1 also indicates a correct negative value when production is greater than consumption. ) which tells me it's not a CT installed backward. I do have the gem set to bin48net for data transmission.
In the ecm3 plugin for Homeseer I also have checked the "net" box for ch1, and ch15 but the values displayed are always positive indicating consumption even when my meter is running backwards. I have enabled the debug log and the data stored there is all positive numbers as well.
Any suggestions?
