I am getting a very consistent plot now with only occasional dropouts (no changes since last post). I did however notice that on one of the dropout periods that the CC local display was all zeros with no signal bar shown. The signal is normally 4 bars, so I don't think this is a fringe connection issue or a USB issue, but something else that occasionally causes the local CC monitor to "drop out".. It typically never lasts more than a minute or two though.

Anybody else seeing this behavior? What might cause the CC transmitter at the Elec Panel to lose synch with the receiver?

I am still running the .42 plugin.

Ok... I finally had another chance to load .45. All seems well. I"m not sure what happened the other time I tried, but it's fine this time around.

What version of HomeSeer are you running? What version of the plugin are you running? If you turn on debugging from the plugin config do you see any other errors?

Our electrical company uses a time of day as well as seasonal time of day rates.

Summer:
Economy time rates
Mid Peak time rates
Peak time rates

Winter
Economy time rates

I am able to build the tables, but am not sure how to envoke them as the home summary page always shows the default rate of .13/kwh.

Please advise if there is an easy way to do this. I have created two additional tables in addition to the default, called "Summer" and "Winter" Also it would be nice if we could put a date in to change back and forth between these rate tables based on a date.

I believe you can actually create an event to use a different table.
I've just started to look into this myself as I have one rate up to 700 kWh/month and another thereafter.

The error message seems to indicate that the CurrentCost History database does not exist, but if that were the case, then it should have put an entry in the log about trouble trying to create the database too.

Go to your HomeSeer root directory, then into \Data\CurrentCost and you should have a file called History.db. If you do, please delete it and then restart HomeSeer so the plug-in will try to create it again, and check the log for errors creating it.

I am in the same boat and have my Summer and Winter rate tables set up. It is in the event actions - Current Cost - you will find an action to activate a rate table. So, I have my system set up to activate a particular rate table at midnight on the day the rate takes effect the two times a year that the rates change. You can add a condition of a date and use the "Y" wildcard to indicate "any year". So for example if a rate table takes effect May 1st, then set an event to trigger at midnight, and add a condition that the date is 5/1/Y and you will be all set.

Gee without going into updater everyday, how would you know if there is an update to this plugin... wait, perhaps you'll see a posting from someone having issues, then you'll learn about it.

C'mon, isn't there any way a sticky can be placed in the CC plugin section with better yet, release notes?

Rick had been posting all new versions here so you haven't missed one yet. As long as your version is working well there really no reason to update right?

I didn't see any posting of a new version released here by anyone.. (.46 comes to mind)
I agree if all is working correctly, there may be no reason to upgrade unless a feature has been fixed. In my second evaluation of .45 after a day or so, I started seeing drop outs in the plotting. Again, I went back to .42 and it never re-appeared.
I had specifically gone to the CC forum to see if an update was posted - to no avail...

Our late friend Jim Doolittle had a great forum sticky which would be updated upon any new release of his plugin. More so, you could see in the release notes what changes were made so you could evaluate whether or not to upgrade. In this case, it's hit or miss.

Perhaps it's the structure I'm looking for...
