Roomba not charging

My Roomba is about 14 months old. for the first 12 months it ran flawless....

Recently when it returns home it will not charge. I have to wiggle it and move it around on the station. when it does fully charge the battery life seems good it runs about 2 hours 23 minutes pretty consistantly

Actions taken with less than desired results

1 I have cleaned the battery contacts with alcohol

2 Charging Station the spring contacts are fully exteneded not down or retracted

3 cleaned the charging station contacts.

We run the unit 5 times a week it must recharge at least once per run to completely vacuum the house.


Any one have this experience? I can't decide if i need to purchase a new base charging station.

Our Xiaomi said it couldnt charge yesterday, wiggling it let it charge. I pulled it back out and figured out that the vacuum had been bumping things about and pushed the base up over something that tilted it..... check moving things around to see if it helps it get a better alignment.

Thanks for the suggestion my unit sits on a hardwood floor. I double checked to see that it was sitting flat.
