losing connection

here is my setup:

homeseer running on windows server 2003

itunes running on a old mac book pro.

using this plug in, everything works great for a while, then randomly(hours later?) i have to restart the plugin for it to start working again.

is there a way to maybe even just have an event to turn the instance on and off? or another way to fix this?

as a stop gap, i've got a 1 hour repeating event using jon00's scripts to disable and enable the plugin, but would like a more permanant fix.
