      Thats not good, the boot partition is FAT32, which is readable with plain Windows!

        That's weird, I can't read the boot partition using Windows only...

          @Magnus,

          When you install the HS3 Zee2 download image it just writes a boot partition with a script to the microSD card nothing else. When you boot this microSD card live on the RPi a script runs which formats the microSD card with a new boot and system partition and then it writes or copies over the Homeseer 3 Zee 2 directory. The boot partition is a Fat partition and the OS partition is an Int partition plus it writes a DR recovery boot (dual boot).

          The easiest way to read the Zee2 configured RPi microSD card would be to create a live Ubuntu USB or ISO to run latest version of Ubuntu.

          You can move files around, copy files, edit SQLite files, et al and copy stuff over to another formatted USB stick.

          You can too read and edit SQLite databases in Windows. It is though a bit more difficult to read the Linix based Int4 formatted partitions with Windows unless you are using WinSCP (SSH) connecting to your RPi remotely.

          Have a read here relating to different types of file systems utilized today with different OS's.

          Types of file systems

          Might be easier to create a Linux / RPi virtual machine on your Windows computer to utilize for testing.

            I gave up on the files, and started from scratch instead.

            But thanks Pete and zwolfpack. It worked perfectly! No problems at all.
