Hello,
I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.
I am working on getting HSTouch fully implemented in my home, and have a question related to a video stream.
I have several Vivotek IP video servers that take a composite camera to an IP stream.
I realize I need to provide credentials etc. to login within the syntax of the url.
I have found that the syntax works in Firefox, but in IE it simply pulls in garbled ASCII data.
If I use the following, all I get is a red x within HSTouch designer.
http://192.168.0.14/cgi-bin/video.jpg
I realize this is an internal address and the iPad must be on the same network for it to work.
I have removed password requirements on one of the video servers to eliminate an additional variable.
My question is has anyone implemented a Greyfox / Vivotek IP video server into their HS touch system?
Is the Netcam plug in for HS even relevant, when the designer is specifing where the stream is coming from? I have been successful with taking sample urls from the internet and getting traffic cam feeds, etc.
I just can't seem to get the front door camera to work.
Thanks for any advice you may provide.
Travis
