No information of the UPS in Status nor in Devices

    Dear all,

No information of the UPS in Status nor in Devices. UPS connected to host HS3 through USB.

Operating System:Microsoft Windows XP Professional - Work Station
OS Version: 5.1.2600 Service Pack: 3.0

    HS3 Pro Edition 3.0.0.368 (Windows)

    APCUPSD version 3.2.0.5

UPS : APC BX700U-GR (connected via USB)

    127.0.0.1:0 is enabled

All devices show green icons, Last Change: 21-5-1929, 11:00:00.

Status page via plug in page:

    Property UPS 1
    UPS Name
    Host 127.0.0.1
    Port 0
    Connected True
    Hostname
    Model
    Mode
    Nominal Power
    Nominal Input Voltage
    Nominal Battery Voltage
    Status
    Status Flags Not available

No data from the UPS in the Status page, nor in the HS3 devices (seem to be generated properly).
The device also seems to be "offline":
    Offline
    APCUPSD UPS1 Status 21-5-1929 11:00:00

I've tried everything, somehow I'm overlooking something? Please advice!

    With kind regards, Frank.

Per aboove the port is set to 0. Can you check in the settings for the UPS configurtion that the port is set to 3551? I suggest setting the host to localhost if the local machine instead of the lookback IP address. Als check any firewall that might block TCP/IP communication with port 3551 on the host. Does the apcupsd icon in the try let you view the status and monitor the host with the same hostname and port?

      Solved

Main problem was that I thought that apcupsd driver was part of powerchute, It is not. You have to install seperatedly. My misunderstanding.

If you read the manual it says use port 0 for USB and local, if you install apcupsd it becomes clear what port to use, it is not "0".

What strikes me is that the pluging really stated: connected , so I thought I was on the right track:-)

It is working now, indeed very easy, thanks for your response and the great app!

      Regards, Frank
