The sensor looks the same as a WT0122 but not sure if it has the same protocol implemented.
FYI: the WT0122 sold at dx.com is not a real WT0122 and is not received by the RFXCOM.
The real WT0122 has the type WT0122 written on the display unit.

You can find the RFXtrx User Guide.pdf on the download page:
    http://www.rfxcom.com/epages/7816546...ries/Downloads

On this page there is also firmware, RFXflash and RFXmngr programs.

I can confirm that this one does not work - it does not have WT0122 on the back. Bert has ordered one that I think is similar to this so hopefully we can get it working soon. The seal looks good inside this unit and there is a real antenna in the cap!

Chapter 2 of the HS3 user guide speaks to the specific receiver/transmitters but doesn't go into detail about supported devices beyond talking about the frequency.

Chapter 6.3 discussed temperature sensors, which I believe these are. It does not list supported products.

So I am trying to piece together the list of supported wireless pool temperature sensors that work with the unit. Ideally I would like one that is sold and shipped by a company in the US. The companies in Europe want roughly twice the cost of the sensor to ship it to me.

I ended up ordering this one:

      https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/..._st_dp_summary

I somehow figured out that this would work, but at this point I can't retrace my steps. It would be helpful if you could confirm this.

If there is a list of supported wireless pool devices, please provide a link to it. Thanks.

The TFA 30.3056 and 30.3216 pool sensor is now supported in RFXrec433 1007 and RFXtrx433E Ext2 1007 firmware.
And is also supported by the RFXCOM plug-in.

Where can you purchase the TFA 30.3056 pool sensor in the U.S?

also i have a VERY OLD 433 receiver. How do I tell the model?
it is just a usb rfxcom master... supposedly can take a slave 310...

The old RFXCOM receiver can receive Oregon pool sensors.

For other pool sensors you would need the RFXtrx433 or RFXrec433. See chapter 2 in the RFXtrx User Guide for the list of supported devices.

I suppose you can order the TFA sensor at:

Has anyone had any long term success with any floating pool sensors. I just threw my second unit away because the seal failed and it filled up with water.

I have had the same experience. Always leaked no matter what. I would be interested in a solution that involved a sensor in the filter line.

floating sensor have often leakage problems and a short life time.

                            This can be used:

I echo Bert's comments. Every wireless temp sensor I have tried has failed within one season. I did buy this one at the end of last summer - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's still working great but it has been inside since September! Bert, I am assuming the unit you mentioned works with RFXtrx433E? Someone posted that the unit was weatherproof - but I wonder if the signal is strong enough to reach my pool from the house. I also wonder if I can drill a hole in one of the filter pipes and put the sensor in and seal it up. It's cheap enough that I might just give it a try.

I'm holding off on buying the Ambient sensor because I, too, suspect that it may be out of range of the one relatively clear spot on my property where the weather station is located. I'd also like to see some input from folks that installed the (Z-Wave) sensor in the pool piping. I think I'd prefer to do that.

For those that do opt for the floating sensor, I've heard that some folks get an extended life by putting the sensor in a sealable plastic bag, before tossing it into the pool...
