    Re-install nightmares!

    Hi,

I am am in dire need of some advice! Following a registry corruption that I couldn't resolve, I bit the bullet and re-installed a fresh copy of xp and HS2 on a slightly better PC.

I updated the 'vanilla' HS2 with the required plug ins and then I tried to replace the HS2 directory with my back up directory. It was near to OK (just a few scripting issues and comms problems with the mr26 and ocelot). After entering my licence keys for all the plugin things went bad....

The next start up of HS2 gave lots of plugin problems like: 'HS Compatibility, cannot access plug-in HSPI_WEBCAM.HSPI Automation error%1 is not a valid Win32 application' As was suggested in the log I tried re-installing the plugins but the same thing occurred. I have tried a total uninstall of HS and re-installing from the updater but even the 'vanilla' HS2 reports problems. On a positive note there are only two plugins still giving the error- mr26 and webcam. Any help greatly appreciated. The most recent log is below.

    Jon

The update of the plugins should be done after you move back your config directory and other personal files in the HTML and Scripts directory.

          Better but not perfect...

Gave up after several hours. Re-installed windows and HS2 again and had a bit more luck. I still cannot get the MR26A, HSPhone or PPOrtIO back in action although the plugins are back!

This all began with a fan failure in the original PC PSU. My old motherboard doesn't seem to have full functionality any more so Hsd now resides on a completely new (old) PC. I am hoping that the PSU failure hasn't goosed my HS modem and MR26A......
