    need a little help with csv file

    I moved from HSPRO 2.5.0.5 and vhs ver 14.01 internet addition on an old Pentium 4 to a new Hometroller series 3 with the same software. It has been working fine for years.

    The VWS software is loaded same as before in the c:vws directory and the csv files under c:\vws\data directory.

    I am getting the following error in the HS log:

    1/7/2011 2:00:40 PM - VWS Error - Could not read the CSV file after three attempts: C:\vws\data\data.csv

    Uer the c:\vws\data directory I have the following csv files, data.csv 1KB, dbase.csv 53KB and data2.csv 1KB. They are updated pretty often.

    The VWS.ini is as follows:
    [Config]
    CSVPath=C:\vws\data
    DBasePath=C:\VWS\data
    UseWarning=False
    WarningPath=C:\Program Files\HomeSeer HSPRO\Data\VWS\
    SpeakWarning=False
    PreSpeakString=
    NumTimeToWarn=2
    MinBetweenWarn=15
    MorningBeginWarnTime=7
    NightEndWarnTime=10
    Metric=False
    ScaleValues=True
    PollInterval=5
    ReadCSVFile=True
    DBPollInterval=1
    ReadDBFile=False

    I am looking into your problem, but can not reproduce it here. Is VWS and HS on the same computer?

      Yes, they are on the same computer.

      I worked on this for about a day then got to thinking, "dummy, why not just copy the VWS directory from the old computer over the directory on the new Hometroller".

      Anyhow that fixed it as well as brought all my old setting back in.

      Sorry, I should have updated the forum.

      Thanks for helping...Sonny
