Device with ref=xxx is no longer in the system

Hi,
I have HS3 (see below, also see attachment).
Some of my events are showing: Device with ref=xxx is no longer in the system.
1 How can I find out what device it was?
2 How can I delete these references without recreating the event?

Once you delete a device, there's really no way to figure out what it was other than restoring an old copy of your database, checking it and then reloading your current database. What I typically do before deleting devices, is I go to the Events page, filter on the devices I'm planning to delete, then delete the devices and recreate if necessary and then go through the list of filtered events and modify as needed.

Old thread but just adding a note for future reference as I ran into this issue:

To get rid of the "device-with-ref-xxx-is-no-longer-in-the-system" message, simply modify one of the other devices/commands in the event and the messages will be deleted.
No need to recreate the event.
As for finding out which device it was, simply install Jon00DeviceViewer and enable file logging (+ archive script), this way you can easily identify deleted devices.
