    Leave of Absence

Need to let everyone know that I will gone for a while in May. I don't know the exact date yet but will post it as soon as I find out. Will most likely have very limited, if any time to be able to support my plugins for about 4 weeks.

Last November I found out that my colon cancer from 4 years ago had come back. I went for a scan and found that the cancer was in several places. Liver, Bladder, Colon, Leg Muscle and the fluid that surrounds all the organs. In January I started doing Chemo every other Friday. I had my last session for round 1 a couple of weeks ago.

Today, April 11th, I meet with one of the surgeons. He is a specialist in Liver cancer. I was to find out if the chemo had done what they expected and if we could move on to phase 2. The results were good enough so sometime in the first 2 weeks of May I will have surgery. The Oncology Surgeon described the surgery as the grand daddy of surgeries. I will be in the Hospital for 2 weeks. From the sound of things I may not have any organs left in me when they are done. lol

After I get out of the hospital, I will have 2 to 3 months of recovery. If all goes well, then 6 to 8 weeks after I get out, I will start another 3 months of chemo. Should finish up in late September. During the chemo I have days where I am too tired to do any programming but for the most part programming my plugins has helped pass the time.

Update: Surgery will be May 13th. I will be in the Hospital for 2 weeks.

I've always noticed you have gone out of your way to support your plugins and provide general advice to those with question. Thank you for your time and wisdom. Its so easy to get lost in all this stuff( technology), small things of life and lose focus...
thoughs and prayers are with you....
            God Bless!

              Wishing you a Speedy Recovery

I am new to HomeSeer and this forum but I have followed several threads where you helped others solve issues. I was able to get my iTach working because of your detailed responses to others. I wish you well and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have a 911 dispatcher that works for me that is going to PA for a similar surgery on May 23rd. Character is not measured by the way we handle the good things in life, but by how we respond to adversity. God Bless and God speed.
